The TJO on Disc
The Toronto Jazz Orchestra has released four CDs: our self-titled debut CD, released in 2001; Under A Tree, released in 2004; The Path, released in 2009; and, most recently, 20, released in 2018. Click the album covers below to get more information, listen to samples, and order tracks.
Released in May, 2018, 20 is our fourth independently released album. Recorded in May, 2017 at Revolution Recording in Toronto, 20 showcases the composition and arranging work of TJO Artistic Director Josh Grossman, and is a celebration of the TJO’s 20th anniversary.
Released in March, 2009, The Path features primarily Canadian compositions and arrangements, while also crossing musical and geographical borders.
Our second CD, Under A Tree, released in March, 2004, exclusively features Canadian compositions never before recorded on CD.
Our first CD, released in 2001 and simply called The Toronto Jazz Orchestra, was recorded part live at The Montreal Bistro, and part in studio at Metalworks in Mississauga.
